April 2003, I left the UK to do that "travel" thing, that it seems lots of people do after leaving University. My journey took me from Istanbul, Turkey - right on the extreme edge of Europe, overland through the Middle East to Egypt then flying over North Africa to Ethiopia and continuing on the back of a truck all the way to Cape Town, South Africa. Countries visited, some countries were visited more than once. Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, South Africa. A flight was taken from Cairo (Egypt) to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) (also stopped at Khartoum - Sudan) | |||
